Jenny holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University, where she was inducted into the international counseling honor society, Chi Sigma Iota.
Jenny is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained and has additional training in complex trauma, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy and also has extensive knowledge of Family Systems Theory and the Gottman Method for couples. Since Jenny has a passion for learning, she is always studying new therapeutic modalities in order to best serve her clients.
As a therapist, Jenny is open minded, non-judgmental, compassionate and supportive, allowing her clients to safely move through the healing process. Jenny prides herself on utilizing an integrative and collaborative approach which allows clients to take an active role in their healing while ensuring the approach is custom tailored to their unique needs. Additionally, Jenny infuses humor into her work, allowing clients to feel comfortable and safe to be themselves.
While she works with those presenting with a wide variety of concerns, Jenny specializes in working with adult children estranged from their parents or other family members, complex trauma, PTSD, phobias, anxiety, depression, and working with couples and individuals ranging in age from adolescents to adults. Additionally, Jenny has a special interest in working with LGBTQ+ youth as well as their loved ones in order to provide support to the individual while helping their family and loved ones learn how to best support them.
In her spare time, Jenny enjoys spending time in nature, strength training, playing with her dogs and relaxing with coffee and a good movie.
